RD Station Marketing monitors conversions originating from social media posts published by the tool:
How does it work?
A parameter is inserted into every shared link in your posts. This parameter is rdst_srcid (RD Station source id). It doesn't alter your page at all.
The RD Station Tracking Code is responsible for reading this parameter, so it must be installed on your site.
Understanding the conversion source
In addition to the total number of conversions per post in the Results tab, you can also check the source post in Lead Activities (whenever the conversion source is the Social channel):
The conversion source is the channel from which the Lead started their session (visit). Learn more about traffic channels.
Example
You used RD Station Marketing to promote a blog post link on Facebook and some people clicked on it, starting a visit session on your blog. After reading the post, the visitor clicked on a call-to-action button and was redirected to one of your Landing Pages with the same domain as your blog (example: yourdomain.com/blog and materials.yourdomain.com). When this visitor converts via the Landing Page, the source of the session will be identified, which in this case is your Facebook post. RD Station Marketing will identify this conversion.
Requirements include:
- Tracking Code installed. See how to install it.
- Blog and Landing Page share the same domain. See how to set it up.
Is it possible to see which Leads have converted as a result of the post?
No. You can only see the number of conversions.
