With the new Landing Page editor in RD Station Marketing, you can optimize your page URL, title and description by accessing the Settings > Advanced Settings tab.
The page title, URL, and description are important because they appear on search engine results pages.
When you finish optimizing your page, you can then save and publish your Landing Page.
What criteria are used and how is the score calculated?
The criteria applied to the Landing Pages creation workflow include:
- Appropriate keyword use in page content, URL, title, and meta description.
- Appropriate URL, page title and meta description length.
- Header: correct use of the H1 tag.
- Links: effort to build the authority of your Landing Page.
RD Station Marketing does not use the score calculation for Landing Pages because, in some cases, you may deliberately sacrifice one or more criteria depending on your SEO strategy.
Remember that Google also uses a page's Rejection Rate to determine its relevance. Therefore, it is important to invest in optimizing your Landing Page to prevent visitors from leaving without converting.
How long does it take to see results?
Search engines do not report the frequency with which they update the data of pages monitored. In general, with every update, if the search engine identifies that a domain has several new or modified pages, it can prioritize that domain to be indexed more quickly. On the other hand, if it identifies few changes, it may take longer to return to your page.
For Google, a tip is to use the tool to request an update of your page. It's still not immediate, but it can help your page to be prioritized.
When to use advanced settings on my Landing Page
If you plan to have your Landing Page active for more than 3 months, it is recommended that you optimize the content for a keyword with a healthy search volume.
Applying SEO to your Landing Page can greatly help you attract organic visitors who are interested in your content and therefore more willing to convert.
How to configure the Title, Page Description and Canonical Tag in the new editor
You can perform this setup in the Settings > Information tab, as shown in the example below:
You can also use the canonical tag as shown in the example above.
Is it worth optimizing an already published Landing Page?
Of course! It's always good to improve on SEO criteria in order to rank higher.
The only tip is to take care when optimizing for traffic, so as not to jeopardize conversion. But if you are focusing on a relevant keyword, you have a greater chance of having a good conversion rate for the organic channel.
