To optimize the conversion rate of a Landing Page or test a theory on a new page, you can use the A/B Testing feature. This feature is very simple to use. Just follow the steps below:
1. Create an A/B test
Upon accessing the Editor tab of your Landing Page, you will find the Create A/B Test button in the upper left corner of the screen. Click this button to start:
2. Edit the content you want to be displayed in version B
To begin the A/B test process, an exact copy of the original Landing Page will be generated. You can edit the Landing Page content for both versions, however the form content must be the same in both versions. In the upper left corner of the screen, simply click one of the buttons, A or B, where A is the current version of the Landing Page and B is the new version that you want to test.
After clicking one of the options, you can freely edit the content of the selected version:
3. Republish or publish your Landing Page
To start running your test you must first publish your Landing Page. If your Landing Page has already been published, all you have to do is republish it.
4. Analyze the data
A few days (or weeks, if you have a low number of visitors) after publishing or republishing your Landing Page, you can check to see if you have a winning version. That is, if one of the two versions has won the test.
To perform this analysis, you can use the A/B Test Calculator. Just enter the conversion rates and it will show you the winning version.
5. Select a winner
Now that you have already determined which of the two versions is best, access the Statistics page of the Landing Page being A/B tested and click Select as winner. After choosing, only the winning version will remain accessible to visitors.
- Since A/B testing is based on conversion results and Thank You pages do not generate conversions, A/B testing is incompatible with this template (it doesn't generate data).
- When you duplicate a Landing Page using A/B Test, the copy (version B) will not have the test activated. However, you can activate the test whenever you wish.
