It is possible to increase the integration between your Marketing and Sales areas using a few of the tools available in RD Station Marketing.
What is a Lead Owner?
After attracting, converting and nurturing your Leads, your Marketing team is responsible for sending them to the Sales team. In RD Station Marketing, you can assign a salesperson to each Lead using the Lead Owner feature.
In addition, each Lead has a public URL which, when enabled, can be accessed without logging into RD Station Marketing. When you come across an Opportunity, mark the Lead as such and send an email to your salesperson containing this URL. This way, your salesperson will have access to their entire interaction history and will be more effective at making the sale, even without having access to the tool.
For Pro Plan customers, marking a Lead Owner and sending an Opportunity to the Sales team can be done automatically using Marketing Automation:
- When creating your workflow in Engage > Marketing Automation, set the entry condition: New to segmentation list or New to or Already in segmentation list;
- Then, in the Actions tab, choose whether the owner will be predefined (Alternate Lead owner) or distributed among the salesmen in your team - Assign Lead Owner (Distributing).
The salesperson will receive an email as shown in the image below. By clicking the button, you will be able to see the Lead information (if you have enabled the public URL feature):
How to record sales?
When the Sales team closes a deal with an Opportunity, it's important to record it in RD Station Marketing, so that your statistics are correct and you can analyze the most efficient traffic source.
When you mark a sale, the funnel stage of the Lead automatically changes to Customer. You can also specify the value of the sale for further analysis.
