Data Protection Information in the Lead's Profile
If you have used the Data Protection features of RD Station Marketing, your leads have received information about the processing of personal data. Whether by converting on a Form with Data Protection fields, in the registration of an Integration or of an Import.
With data protection laws, the processing of personal data can only be carried out under certain circumstances. In Brazil, the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) recognizes 10 such circumstances (also known as Legal Bases), described in the seventh article of the law. Meanwhile, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) allows the processing of data in 6 circumstances as stipulated in its sixth article.
To facilitate the management of authorizations for the processing of personal data of leads that are in your RD Station Marketing account, and also in exercise of the rights of data subjects, we now display Data Protection information in the Lead's Profile:

Data Structure
Currently, the data structure of RD Station recognizes three categories of Data Protection: Data Processing, Communications and Cookies. Therefore, Data Protection information will also be separated in this way in the Lead Profile.
Data Processing
Legally, it is the authorization given, or not given, by the lead for the processing of personal data, which includes simple activities such as: data collection and storage in the Lead Base.
The document describing why this information is being collected, how it will be used and how it will be stored is also known as the Privacy Policy. Therefore, forms with the Policy and Terms field record this authorization within the platform.
Communications
It is the authorization to receive emails or any other type of communication (phone calls, WhatsApp, etc).
Authorization to receive communications must be collected separately from Data Processing authorization and usually takes the form of a checkbox field on conversion forms, such as the Communication Consent field.
Cookies
Authorization for the use of cookies begins even before a visitor becomes a lead and it concerns the capture of information in a person's browser and sending this data to RD Station Marketing.
This type of authorization can be regulated both by external tools and by the RD Station Marketing solution; and in this second case, when a visitor becomes a lead after having accepted or declined cookies, the information is historically recorded in their profile.
Data Protection Update Event
These events contain all the information collected relating to Data Protection and to the lead and are displayed together with the Lead Activities. If you want to view only these events in the lead's timeline, you can use the Data protection filter.

Data Protection Section
This section contains the consolidated data related to Data Protection, i.e. the most recent response a lead has given in relation to Data Processing and Receiving Communications. This is the data you can segment via the Data Protection conditions.
If a lead converted on a Landing Page yesterday and agrees to receive communications, the information that will appear on their profile is that they have agreed to Receive communications in the Data Protection section. If the lead converts again today and has refused to receive communications, the information is updated in the Data Protection section and it appears that the lead has refused to Receive communications.
To understand the history of changes, you can check the events in Lead Activities.
When the lead does not have Data Protection information, this section displays No information and you will also not be able to identify any Legal Basis Update event in Lead Activities.
