As RD Station Marketing is one of the places where your company may be processing personal data, we have prepared this material showing you how to change the information of a lead you have within our service. The second right of the data subject described in the Brazilian Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD) consists of performing the correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data upon request. For example, when your lead changes address and asks you to update this information.
Personal data in RD Station Marketing can be updated in several ways. With each new conversion, the lead's data can be updated.
How to edit personal data
In specific situations, or at the request of the lead, it is possible to make the edit via the Lead Profile, following the step-by-step guide below:
- Click Engage > Lead Base.
- Then, look for the lead using the search bar and access the Lead Profile:
- Click Edit:
- You can edit all personal data. Data referring to Lead Activities cannot be edited, because it contains the history of the information attributed to the lead on the platform:
- By clicking Save, the data will be updated on the platform.
If you want to bulk update leads, you can perform an Import.
How to edit personal data in RD Station Marketing and automatically update in other systems
In order for the update of a lead's data to be sent to systems other than RD Station Marketing, an integration via webhook is required. In this case, editing the personal data should be done through a conversion so that an integration trigger is generated.
To generate a conversion when editing personal data, you can use a conversion tool, such as a Landing Page or Form, with the fields you want to update. Another method is to perform an Import with the updated data and register the conversion.
If you have configured the conversion as a trigger for your integration, the data will be sent automatically.
