There are three Social Media post formats supported by RD Station Marketing:
The formats determine the layout (appearance) of the post on each social network.
Text Only
By default, when there is no link or image added to the post, it is arranged as follows:
Post with Link
When you insert a link in your publication, the following additional information is included in the post:
- Page Title
- URL
- Description
- Images included
This information is available in the Link attached area, below the box containing the post text. After capturing the page data and the Link attached box is displayed, you can delete the URL from the message body. The link will remain attached to the post as long as the Link attached window is open.
Important!
Changes to the title, description and image will only be reflected on Facebook and LinkedIn.
There is a communication protocol for sharing data (such as title and link images) between internet pages, known as Open Graph, used by Facebook and LinkedIn. Twitter, on the other hand, uses Twitter Cards as a communication protocol. It is similar to Open Graph, however, it is more strict with regard to the original content of the page being shared. Therefore, if you have changed the title, image, or description of your link, these changes will not be reflected on Twitter.
Post with Image
When uploading an image, the post will have the following format on each social network:
