What is the Permission to import Leads?
In RD Station Marketing, when using the import workflow, you will encounter a field called Permission to import Leads. The objective of this field is to meet the requirements of the Data Protection laws such as the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD, in Brazil) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, in the European Union).
When filling in the available fields in Permission to import Leads, you will find the options of Legal Bases to assign to leads for two Categories: Data Processing and Communication. Among the options is a selection called I don't know/I don't have a Legal Basis.
When the option I don't know/I don't have a Legal Basis is selected, you are effectively not assigning any Legal Basis information to the leads inserted in that import document.
This means that the Legal Bases for both Data Processing and Communication for those leads will not be changed or created.
What happens to the leads that are already in my base?
When you perform a lead import with emails that already exist in your RD Station Marketing account, the data contained in the spreadsheet will be added or updated for the contacts with the corresponding emails.
The same applies to Legal Bases - when selecting the option I don't know/I don't have a Legal Basis, new leads will not have a Legal Basis attributed to them, and existing leads will not have their Legal Bases updated.
How does this option appear in the Lead's Profile?
The option I don't know/I don't have a legal basis will not appear in the profile of your leads.
This means that the Legal Bases section will display No information or it will display the previously defined Legal Basis for that lead.
